Duties and Authority

An Elder shall serve the Lord’s Supper; promote the growth and welfare of the Church and Church congregation; provide spiritual guidance and leadership to the congregation; give thoughtful consideration to all policies of and affecting the Church and the Church congregation; assist the minister(s) in the conduct of pastoral and priestly functions; attend all meetings of the General Board and the Board of Elders; and perform such other duties with such other authority as may be assigned and delegated by the General Board.
